Indian police on Thursday arrested a Hindu non secular chief for allegedly making a derogatory speech towards India’s independence chief Mahatma Gandhi and praising his murderer.
Kalicharan Maharaj was arrested in central Madhya Pradesh state on Thursday for allegedly selling hatred between non secular teams in a speech earlier this week, the Press Belief of India information company cited police officer Prashant Agrawal as saying.
Based on media experiences, Maharaj mentioned “Gandhi destroyed the nation … salutations to Nathuram Godse, who killed him.”
