Pakistan Democratic Motion (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, holding the state accountable for the lynching incident in Sialkot, stated, “If the state doesn’t take motion in opposition to those accused of blasphemy then such incidents will occur.”
Taking his outrage to Twitter, Maulana wrote, “The incident in Sialkot is reprehensible and shameful. There needs to be a complete investigation.”
“Prior to now, there have been comparable backlash in opposition to government-sponsored fugitives accused of blasphemy,” wrote Maulana.
“Beneath the guise of such incidents, the worldwide institution conspires in opposition to the spiritual class and to make the Islamic provisions of the structure controversial,” additional tweeted Maulana.
In the meantime, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) chief Ahsan Iqbal, disagreeing with Maulana Fazl tweeted, “Respectfully Maulana Sahib such incidents needs to be unconditionally condemned – Islam doesn’t enable such fanaticism and unlawful killings by mobs in any case.”
“The nation expects the students to information the nation on this matter,” tweeted Iqbal.
