The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities has determined to determine separate jails for girls throughout the province, Dawn has reported.
Mr Shafiullah, Particular Assistant to the Chief Minister for prisons, mentioned a proposal for girls’s jails had been mooted as a part of the jail reforms mission.
He mentioned that after the CM’s approval, the house division will conduct a feasibility examine to find out potential places for the separate jails. He added that that feminine convicts have challenges as a result of an absence of services in jails.
Based on the CM’s aide, there are presently 160 feminine detainees languishing in varied jails, with 35 of them having been convicted and 125 instances pending in varied courts.
